Group of knitting OAPs removed by FIFTY police officers at PNR

A knitting circle of a dozen grannies was ousted by police as they sat at the entrance to a controversial fracking site.

Protestors claim up to fifty officers removed the women from Cuadrilla’s shale gas drilling site near Preston, Lancashire, on Wednesday. 

Sharm Honey filmed the officers moving the knitting circle who were sat crocheting out of the way to allow three water tankers to leave, sparking anger among protesters.

They chanted ‘shame on you’ as the police carried the pensioners away.
